One of the trendsetters, Germantown café opened way back in 2004 and has been consistently perfect ever since. For starters they make easily the best French onion soup in Nashville, if not the world. Yes it is that good!

The menu has slowly changed over the years, but their plum pork has remained the specialty and my go to dish. I have never seen a similar dish at any other restaurant, the pork is grilled then covered with a unique plum sauce. Just the right amount of sweet and tang.

The lunch burger changes daily, the key lime pie is heaven and how could I forget the hot rolls. Again unique, the rolls are flash fried, similar to a donut although not at all sweet, just hot and delicious.

Long a favorite of mine for its simple, consistent and reasonably priced food. Germantown Café, you had me at the French Onion soup.
